Manu was born and raised in Wanaka, New Zealand but his mother is French, so Manu has dual citizenship.
Both of his parents are mountain guides, he spent the first 10 winters of his life in Chamonix while his parents worked and they all returned to Treble Cone, where Manu learned the full breadth and versatility of skiing.
At the age of 9, Manu discovered the park and focused on this discipline for many years, defending the colors of the National Team during competitions.
In parallel to the competitions, Manu continued to ride Freeride and to feed his taste for powder. At the age of 15, while struggling with injuries, Manu decided to stop slopestyle at a high level and focus on Freeride.
THIS DISCIPLINE ALLOWS HIM TO BE CLOSER TO THE MOUNTAINS AND TO BETTER EXPRESS HIS CREATIVITY.
Since then, Manu has been competing in Freeride and has acquired skills in high mountain skiing, rando, expeditions and heli-skiing.
He continues to ride in the park, especially in the spring, this versatility allows him to offer a creative ski with tricks.
THIS YEAR, MANU HAS WON HIS TICKET FOR THE FAMOUS FREERIDE WORLD TOUR AND WILL THEREFORE PARTICIPATE IN THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS FREERIDE COMPETITION.
